Terms of use
The Starter Pack has no user accounts. These terms cover what the pack is, how licensing works, and the limits of our liability.
@floomhq/starter) and manifest are MIT licensed. Use, copy, modify, redistribute freely. What the pack is
Floom Starter Pack is a curated collection of AI agent skills distributed via npm (@floomhq/starter) and installable from a manifest hosted at github.com/floomhq/packs.
It is a static, local-install tool. There are no accounts, no subscriptions, and no server-side components that process your data.
Licensing
The installer, manifest, and orchestration scripts are released under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell them freely.
Individual skills in the pack are authored by third-party publishers and retain their own licenses. The manifest lists each skill's source repo where its license is stated. Before redistributing a specific skill, verify its license in that repo.
Most curated skills are MIT or Apache 2.0. We do not include skills with non-commercial or copyleft licenses without clearly flagging them.
Acceptable use
By using the Starter Pack you agree not to:
- Publish modified versions of the pack under the Floom name without permission.
- Use skills from the pack to build tools designed to harm users.
- Circumvent the license terms of individual skills.
These restrictions apply only to the pack as a whole. The MIT License governs individual files.
No warranty
The Starter Pack is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.
Skills are written by independent publishers. We curate and vet them, but we cannot guarantee their accuracy, security, or ongoing correctness. Review skill source code before deploying to production agents.
Liability
In no event shall Floom or its contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from the use of this pack or its skills, including but not limited to data loss, system disruption, or agent misbehavior.
Use the pack at your own discretion. You are responsible for reviewing what gets installed on your machine.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the pack evolves. Material changes will be noted in the changelog in the floomhq/packs repo and announced on @floomhq.
